Sustainability in Ultrapar
Ultrapar believes that sustainability is a journey, not a destination. It is an essential theme for the continuity of the businesses, which must evolve continuously and together with the Company’s strategy.
It was in this context that the strategic priority themes were identified. They cover the three ESG pillars (environmental, social and governance) and represent relevant topics to which the Company must focus its efforts. In addition, the topics consider the view of different stakeholders, such as Ultrapar’s management, employees, shareholders and investors, market analysts, regulatory/supervising bodies, professional associations and the press.
The ESG agenda is part of the company’s strategic planning, and aims to mitigate risks, foster opportunities and protect the Company’s value in the long term. Therefore, Ultrapar defined for its seven priority topics, ambitions, commitments and goals for 2030 and, in 2023, the ESG 2030 Plan was disclosed to the external public.

The seven material topics were defined through a process guided by global macrotrends, specific businesses’ characteristics, stakeholders’ perspectives and industry practices. They are also connected to the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
